We recognise the significant role we play in the development of the local economy and our contribution to its sustainability.
Our Policies
Our Sustainable Tourism Policy
Gypsophila Club Marineâs sales contribute to the local economy, the preservation of the natural and cultural environment, and the increasing contribution to the lifestyle of the local community, whilst ensuring that the full economic, social and growth outcomes are realised and that these impacts are minimised. While continuously monitoring the outcomes of all our activities, we aim to regularly train and raise awareness among our staff, ensure compliance with relevant national and legal frameworks as well as international standards, and serve as a model facility for fostering sustainable tourism awareness.
In carrying out our activities, we aim not only to involve our employees, but also to move forward with the contributions of our suppliers and the local community, whilst raising awareness of all our initiatives.
Our Environmental Policy
AT GYPSOPHILA CLUB MARINE, WE REGARD ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AS BEING JUST AS IMPORTANT AS HUMAN HEALTH.
In this regard, we aim to provide healthy products across our entire range and implement relevant cost-saving measures; to protect the environment and use eco-friendly products by monitoring our consumption of natural resources and the waste we generate; and to safeguard environmental sustainability and biodiversity; To support the objectives of all these activities, we aim to ensure their continuous implementation, the regular training of our staff, the provision of services with environmental awareness, compliance with relevant national legal requirements and international standards, the reduction of occupational safety risks, and the promotion of the development of both employees and the environment.
Our Energy Efficiency Policy
We are setting targets to use energy efficiently and minimise our energy consumption in order to protect our planet from potential threats. To this end;
⢠We ask that you
comply with national and international standards, laws and regulations in order
to fulfil both our responsibilities towards the environment and our legal
obligations.
⢠Measures to reduce
energy consumption and/or ensure its sustainable management are carried out by
staff; we recommend monitoring energy usage.
⢠We set targets for
energy efficiency and incorporate energy efficiency into our training
programmes to ensure employee participation.
⢠We prioritise
collaboration with all our members to establish joint initiatives and achieve
shared outcomes in energy management. Together with our staff, visitors and all
our business partners, we strive to maintain our resilience in order to achieve
a comprehensive, sustainable and culturally integrated approach.
⢠We seek out,
purchase and utilise energy-efficient products, equipment, machinery and
technological alternatives.
⢠We am to establish
our Energy Management System, roll it out across all departments, monitor
developments, review it and continuously improve it.
⢠We assess potential
emergencies such as energy risks or energy constraints and plan the necessary
precautions.
Our Child Rights Policy
Children are the future entrusted to us. It is our duty to treat them with respect, to safeguard their rights, and to protect them from all forms of psychological, physical, financial and other forms of exploitation.
To ensure this;
⢠We do not permit
the employment of child labour within our own organisation and expect the same
from all our business partners.
⢠We foster personal
development in the workplace, offering opportunities for people to express
themselves in different ways and providing environments and opportunities where
they can feel free and at ease.
⢠We provide training
to our staff on the prevention and identification of child abuse.
⢠You can be assured
that children participating in activities are under adult supervision.
⢠We organise
training sessions and support relevant projects to ensure continuity in the protection
of childrenâs rights.
⢠In cases involving
suspicious behaviour towards children, we first inform hotel management and
seek assistance from the relevant official authorities.
⢠When employing
trainee students under the age of 18, we obtain documentation from their
families and provide all necessary information to facilitate communication with
their families via computer.
⢠We support schools
in our region to aid childrenâs education and development.
⢠We kindly ask that
you ensure no massages are performed on children under the age of 18 at our
hotelâs spa centre.
⢠We aim to prevent
children from accessing harmful content online, thereby safeguarding their
well-being.
Our Health and Safety Policy for Vulnerable Groups
Everyone has the right to enjoy their holiday in the greatest possible comfort, and a holiday is a necessity. For this reason, at our hotel, our top priority is ensuring that guests with disabilities can enjoy a comfortable holiday free from barriers, through accessible facilities both on the premises and in our indoor and outdoor public areas. Training and raising awareness amongst our staff to ensure a comfortable holiday experience for guests with disabilities is one of our key priorities.
Adopting the principle that the burden lies not with the individual but with the physical environment, we aim to eliminate any barriers by providing dedicated service tailored to the comfort and well-being of guests in these physical spaces.
We believe that every citizen has the right to work, and in line with this, we employ staff with disabilities at our facility.
In summary, our policy is to ensure equal conditions for everyone and to address the external barriers to a comfortable holiday.
Waste Management
At Gypsophila Club Marine, the methods and responsibilities regarding the storage and disposal of all solid, liquid, gaseous, organic, packaging, medical and hazardous waste generated during service provision and production processes have been defined; by selecting companies that generate the least amount of solid waste, minimising the volume of solid waste in current production, retaining hazardous waste materials within solid waste, and conducting studies on the evaluation and material recycling of solid waste by waste transport/disposal providers. Training is provided on the importance of preventing the degradation of personalised waste, and waste particles are monitored by the relevant departments.
⢠Twenty-eight waste sorting units have been installed
throughout the premises to facilitate waste separation. We work with relevant
companies to manage the disposal of the remaining waste.
⢠Separate waste collection schemes have been introduced for
certain types of waste to ensure they are sorted and sent for recycling, and
the importance of this is constantly emphasised.
⢠In our guestsâ meal service, we purchase products in large-packaged boxes and buckets rather than single-serving breakfast items to minimise packaging waste.

⢠According to statistics, 1.5 billion tonnes of food are wasted worldwide every year. As our hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, our guests play a vital role in this regard. That is why we aim to raise awareness among our guests and reduce food waste through the visual reminder we place on tables: âDonât Waste, Save the Future!â.

⢠We use refillable soap dispensers in our hotelâs public
areas and guest rooms. By purchasing products in bulk rather than single-use
items, we aim to reduce the amount of packaging waste.
⢠Staff awareness training has prevented used oil from being
poured down drains, and grease traps ensure that waste oil is collected and
disposed of properly. Used cooking oil from frying is collected in a waste oil
storage tank and recycled by authorised companies.
⢠To reduce our paper consumption, we conduct our correspondence and announcements via email wherever possible. In bars, restaurants and guest rooms, we prioritise the use of polycarbonate and porcelain cups and plates over paper cups.

Hazardous Waste
Chemicals are substances that we use in many areas of our lives; they make our lives easier but can also lead to adverse consequences due to their harmful effects. The use of chemicals is involved in maintenance, repair and cleaning activities at our facilities. Cleaning with the environment in mind means ensuring hygiene whilst minimising negative impacts on health and the environment as much as possible. The harm caused to the environment can be minimised not only by using environmentally friendly cleaning products, but also by using these products sparingly and ensuring the correct dosage. In this way, the overall environmental impact of chemicals can be significantly reduced.
To ensure that hazardous waste generated at our hotel is disposed of without harming the environment, we collect and label the hazardous waste produced in our various departments under appropriate conditions in our hazardous waste storage rooms, and hand it over to licensed companies for disposal or recycling in accordance with the law.
It is our priority to ensure that all chemicals we use are approved, labelled and stored in suitable packaging, and that the relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) have been provided to us. Employees who will be using the chemicals are trained by the purchasing department on the use of the chemicals, the information contained in the SDSs, the quantities and methods of use, the requirements for personal protective equipment, and the necessary precautions to be taken.
Our chemical storage facilities have been equipped with the necessary safeguards against leaks, spills and similar incidents that could harm the environment. Chemical storage is carried out in accordance with the type of chemical, the manufacturerâs storage instructions and relevant regulations.
We prefer concentrated products wherever possible. In our swimming pools, office floors and laundry facilities, we use automatic dosing systems that use the minimum amount of chemicals required to ensure proper hygiene.
We ensure that the pesticides used by the pest control company we engage are products that do not harm human health or the environment. We strive to make greater use of natural methods (such as fly traps and sticky paper).

We monitor and manage our annual waste volumes using our tables and charts.

In 2025, our per capita volume of mixed packaging decreased by 1.20% compared to 2024.
Energy Management
One of the most important steps towards sustainability is ensuring energy efficiency. We identify issues and potential areas for savings by measuring energy consumption. We opt for low-consumption equipment and systems. Energy savings are continuously analysed through maintenance, monitoring and tracking.

Electricity Consumption
We aim to ensure that all the electronic products we purchase are energy-efficient and that all our staff receive training on energy conservation. The following energy-saving initiatives are being implemented at our hotel and are maintained on an ongoing basis.
⢠Our hotel has 170 solar panels, saving 85,000 m³ of LNG
per year.
⢠The minibars, TVs and air conditioning systems used in the
rooms are A++ rated, ensuring energy savings.
⢠All rooms are fitted with systems that automatically
switch off the heating and cooling units when the balcony door is opened.
⢠Throughout the hotel, in all guest rooms and public areas,
energy-saving lighting or LED lights are used instead of incandescent or
mercury-containing bulbs to conserve energy and reduce hazardous waste.
⢠The hotelâs building perimeter lighting, heating and
cooling systems are controlled via automation.
⢠Motion-sensor lighting is used in all guest common areas
and the majority of staff areas where feasible.
⢠Many areas within the premises have been designed to
utilise natural daylight, thereby reducing energy consumption.
⢠Electronic key cards are used in our guest rooms.
⢠Televisions with low standby power consumption are used in
our guest rooms.
⢠Staff have been made aware of the need to close the
curtains when guests are not in their rooms.
⢠The minibars in our rooms are positioned away from heat
sources to save energy.
⢠The curtains in our unoccupied rooms are kept closed
during the summer season and open during the winter season to reduce the use of
air conditioning units.
⢠Roller blinds are used in all our meeting rooms,
restaurants and bars to save on air conditioning energy.
⢠We use air curtains on doors leading from general areas
where the cooling system is in operation to terraces, gardens and similar
areas.
⢠Regular maintenance and cleaning of all electrical
appliances are carried out to minimise potential energy losses.
⢠The seals and gaskets of refrigeration units, freezers,
ice machines and ovens are checked periodically, and any worn parts are
replaced.
⢠Care is taken to ensure that refrigeration unit doors are
opened as infrequently and for as short a time as possible; hot food is cooled
in a blast chiller before being placed in refrigeration units.
⢠Convection ovens are preferred over traditional stoves.
⢠Operating instructions are provided alongside the machinery used in the kitchen and laundry, and our staff are trained in the correct use of the equipment.

Water Consumption
Water consumption is quite high at our facility, particularly in relation to daily activities, swimming pools and communal areas. For this reason, water usage and management are of great importance to us.
We use water-saving equipment to reduce overall water consumption without compromising on health, hygiene and guest satisfaction; we provide our guests with information on the subject and train our staff in this regard.
The following water-saving initiatives are being implemented and maintained at our hotel:
⢠Water flow is restricted by aerators fitted to all taps in
guest rooms and communal areas. Aerators are checked regularly and replaced
where necessary.
⢠All washbasin taps in guest rooms and communal areas are
set to a flow rate not exceeding 5 litres per minute, and shower heads to 10
litres per minute. Regular measurements are taken to monitor compliance, and
any instances of high flow rates are rectified.
⢠Visual labels serving as reminders are displayed in staff
and guest common areas to encourage the economical use of water.
⢠During the winter of 2025, we completely refurbished the
bathrooms in 158 of our rooms, installing water-saving products in showers,
washbasins and flush toilets. Following the refurbishment work carried out in
2024, the bathrooms in 49 of our rooms were also fully refurbished, bringing
the total number of refurbished rooms to 207. By switching to a dual-flush
system in the toilets, water was saved by ensuring that no more than 6 litres
of water are used per flush.
⢠Photoelectric urinals are available in the public toilets.
⢠In our gardens, we utilise drip and sprinkler systems for
watering.
⢠Towel and bed linen changes in the rooms are carried out in accordance with guest requests, and guests are informed of this policy. If no request is made by the guest, changes are carried out every two days.

Conservation of Wildlife
Our hotel is situated amidst stunning natural surroundings,
where the greenery of the BeydaÄlarÄąâthe foothills of the Taurus
Mountainsâmeets the blue waters of the Mediterranean. We are mindful of the
wildlife that thrives in this unique environment and the surrounding area, and
protecting them is our foremost principle.
By introducing our guests to all the living creatures in our
hotelâs gardens, the sea and the surrounding area, we aim to reach people of
all nationalities and backgrounds and involve them in our activities to protect
nature. To this end, three information boards featuring images and names of the
local flora, birds and marine life have been installed along the footpath at
the very centre of our hotel grounds, enabling our guests to observe and learn
about the wildlife in our region.
In addition to doing our utmost to protect the wildlife already present at our hotel, we also feed and rear animals such as partridges, roosters, chickens, ducks and rabbits to enrich the natural environment and increase biodiversity.

Our priority is to ensure that our guests get to know our region better and gain a deeper understanding of it. Furthermore, our guests staying at the hotel are among our most important stakeholders, with whom we collaborate on sustainability initiatives and whose feedback helps shape our services. For this reason, we have a display in our guest area featuring information on the endemic plants and animals found in our region, an explanation of our community guidelines, and a message highlighting the importance of preserving our cultural heritage.

Animals Are Our Friends
To provide shelter for the birds living in our region and on our hotel grounds, and to help protect wildlife, our hotelâs carpenter has crafted birdhouses which have been hung in the trees. We have also built homes for the cats and rabbits living on the hotel grounds to meet their shelter needs. A contract has been signed with a Veterinary Surgeon to appoint a designated staff member as the âZoo Managerâ and to carry out weekly checks on the animals in our care. Our establishment is aware of the potential for its activities to disturb wildlife and their habitats. Therefore, to ensure our seagullsâ territories are not encroached upon, signs have been displayed on the restaurant terrace to raise guestsâ awareness.

The Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage
We have produced a leaflet to showcase our city of Antalyaâhome to over 400 ancient cities and historical sites, as well as dozens of natural heritage sitesâto our guests in the best possible way. The brochure we have produced includes a map of cultural sites that our guests can reach by using cycle paths, in the spirit of protecting nature. In this way, we aim to involve our guests in reducing the carbon footprint we leave on the environment.
⢠Whilst introducing our guests and staff to our cultural heritage, we also provide information on how to protect it and what to look out for in these areas. To this end, we have displayed detailed information boards on sustainable tourism in our guest and staff areas.

⢠We take great care to showcase our unique Turkish culture and traditions to our guests through the dĂŠcor in our landscaped areas, as well as in our food and beverage presentations and communal spaces. Furthermore, we bring our culture to life for our guests through activities featured in our entertainment teamâs programme, such as belly dancing classes, Turkish language lessons and çiÄkĂśfte-making workshops.

⢠A dedicated section has been set up in the shop operated by our tenant within the hotel, featuring products associated with Turkish culture such as coffee, Turkish delight, tea and spices, where these cultural products are showcased and sold to our guests.

Our Other Activities to Protect the Environment
⢠Double glazing has been fitted to windows in guest rooms
and communal areas for thermal insulation.
⢠To ensure our guests do not throw away books, magazines
and newspapers they have read and wish to discard, we have set up a bookcase in
the reading area within the Happy Moment Dessert Bar.
⢠Our guestsâ medical waste, syringes and empty medicine
bottles are collected by our staff, who are trained in the proper handling of
medical waste, ensuring they are disposed of in a manner that does not harm the
environment or people.
⢠Guests are advised to use public transport during city
tours and are provided with information on routes.
⢠A timer control panel is used in the saunas to prevent unnecessary
energy consumption.
⢠We are aware of our contribution to the local economy; for
this reason, a significant proportion of the products we source are procured
from the local market.
⢠All of our hotelâs wastewater is connected to the
Wastewater Treatment Plant.
⢠None of the fire extinguishers used within our hotel, nor
the industrial cold storage rooms, contain CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) gases,
which are harmful to the ozone layer.
⢠To protect nature and the environment and reduce carbon
emissions, we transport our guests to their desired destinations using
battery-powered Club Car vehicles. Our staff also use electric bicycles for
work.
⢠Soiled linen is washed by Mavi Safir to save water and
energy. For uniforms washed on-site, we have purchased A+++ energy-efficient
washing machines.
⢠To contribute to the diversity of trees on our premises
and to raise environmental awareness among our guests, we organise a
tree-planting event in the hotel garden every year on 23 April, together with
our young guests.
⢠We do our utmost to protect and sustain the trees within
our hotel grounds. Trees damaged by adverse weather conditions are felled
following identification and approval by the District Ministry of Agriculture
and Forestry teams, and we reintroduce them to nature by using them in various
landscaping areas within the hotel.
⢠Minimising harm to the environment is one of our core principles. For this reason, we recycle car tyresâwhich are virtually impossible to break down in natureâby using them for decorative purposes. We also aim to raise environmental awareness among our guests by displaying a sign on the beach board showing how many years it takes for various types of waste to decompose in the sea.

⢠At Happy Moment Dessert Bar, we recycle glass drinks bottles and disused porcelain cups by using them for decorative purposes.

Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We monitor data at our hotel covering annual energy consumption, vehicle mileage and fuel consumption, water consumption and wastewater volumes, waste generation, guest numbers and the number of overnight stays per guest. Using this monitored data and additional information, along with an Excel spreadsheet prepared by the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance for tourism activities, we have calculated our carbon footprint. Updates are made based on the evaluation of the carbon footprint calculation results.
2024 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Measurement

2025 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Measurement

In 2025, our total greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 3.87% compared to 2024.
Our Social Responsibility and Contributions to Society
We are aware that fostering a sense of community within our organisation can only be achieved by upholding our values. We recognise our social responsibilities and organise our community initiatives, which are based on voluntary participation, throughout the year with the involvement of our staff and the local community.
⢠Career Management
We provide internship opportunities to help tourism students gain work experience. We support our staff through training programmes. By developing our own staff wherever possible, we aim to promote them to senior roles and grow together.
⢠We are collecting blue bottle caps for the Spinal Cord Injury Association
We are collecting blue bottle caps in support of the âPlastic Cap Campaignâ organised by the Turkish Spinal Cord Injury Association (TOFD).
⢠We received gifts from a female entrepreneur for Motherâs Day on 11 May
On behalf of all our female staff, we have purchased a cactus as a special Motherâs Day gift to support female entrepreneurs in our region.

⢠We make various donations to schools in our area.
By maintaining regular contact with schools in our region and making donations (such as books and chairs) in line with their needs, we are helping to ensure that our young friends receive the best possible education.
⢠We provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for university students.
Every year, we provide scholarship support to 21 university students from various departments who are in need.
⢠We are supporting the local community during Ramadan.
Every year during Ramadan, under the guidance of our local councillor and Kemer Municipality, we take part in Ramadan food parcel distributions and communal iftar dinners on behalf of our hotel.
⢠We are planting trees on 23 April, National Sovereignty and Childrenâs Day
Every year on 23 April, we welcome our employeesâ children to our hotel. Furthermore, to contribute to the diversity of trees on our hotel grounds and to foster environmental awareness among the children of our guests and staff, we plant trees in the hotel garden together with the children every year.
⢠Promoting community involvement and biodiversity
We continue to share our commitment to biodiversity management and the conservation of the local ecosystem with younger generations. As part of this initiative, we hosted members of the Antalya Young Climate Leaders Platform at our hotel, giving them an on-site introduction to the biological riches our property offers and our conservation projects. This visit with the young people who will be the decision-makers of the future has been a valuable step towards raising environmental awareness and highlighting the importance of local biodiversity in sustainable tourism.

⢠5 June: World Environment Day
To instil environmental awareness and raise awareness among the children staying at our hotel, on 5 JuneâWorld Environment Dayâwe organised an activity with all the children and their families: we designed dresses from discarded bed sheets and made crowns and hair clips from pruned plant leaves. We also taught the children how to sort the waste generated during the event and put this into practice.

⢠We are cleaning the public beach.
The path leading to the beach and the sandy shore, located right next to our hotel and used by local residents, are cleaned annually around the start of the season, with the participation of our management team. The public beach is cleaned regularly throughout the season. We do not restrict or prevent the use of the beach. We provide the local community with a clean and safe beach.
At the start of each season, our lifeguards carry out underwater clean-ups by diving to prevent jellyfishâwhich are classified as an invasive species in our seasâfrom feeding and to reduce marine pollution.
Accessibility
Accessibility means that everyone can reach and use any place or service they wish, independently and safely.
Gypsophila Club Marine is committed to providing accessible tourism services for everyone, ensuring full compliance with accessibility regulations, and making continuous improvements in this area.
Inaccessible spaces put a large number of users at a disadvantage due to their various characteristics. We are constantly striving to make improvements not only for those with physical disabilities, but also for guests who are unable to participate in tourism activities due to visual or hearing impairments, the elderly, those with temporary disabilities, pregnant women, those with pushchairs, children, and people of larger or heavier build, as well as those who are very tall or very short.
In this regard, we have made adjustments to the three accessible rooms at our hotel to ensure that our guests with disabilities can enjoy a comfortable stay.
⢠The emergency alarm systems in our accessible rooms have
been upgraded to include both audible and flashing alerts.
⢠Lift-assisted coat hooks have been installed in our
accessible rooms to make it easier to reach the coat hooks.
⢠Soft corner protectors have been fitted to the furniture
in our accessible rooms to prevent injury from sharp edges.
⢠In our accessible rooms, the bathrooms have been
redesigned and refurbished to ensure every area can be used as comfortably as
possible.
⢠The room numbers in our accessible rooms have been written in Braille to assist our visually impaired guests.

We are also working to ensure that our general facilities are adapted to provide the most suitable conditions for our guests with special needs.
⢠Our hotelâs large swimming pool is equipped with a
wheelchair lift.
⢠The sun loungers located behind the wheelchair lift by the
pool are reserved for guests with disabilities.
⢠A wheelchair ramp is available for access to the beach.
⢠There are two sun loungers for disabled guests situated
right next to the disabled access ramp on the beach.
⢠There is a walkway leading down to the sea from the disabled sun loungers.
